Kimberley Energy Corporation grew out of a simple observation: the remote Aboriginal communities we work with face daily energy insecurity. Diesel generators fail. Roads flood and fuel supply stops. Power bills consume household budgets that are already stretched thin.
In January 2023, the Fitzroy River peaked at 15.81 metres — the highest flood in recorded WA history. Communities across the valley were cut off for weeks. Fuel resupply stopped. Power to health clinics, water pumps and homes was threatened. That experience made clear that energy resilience is not a luxury — it is a safety requirement.
We are now working with Aboriginal co-founders to build a Kimberley-based energy company that helps communities access government-funded solar feasibility studies, navigate the path to construction funding, and where communities choose it, own the generation assets that power their homes.
